cub cadet 2165 interlock brake and PTO

Hi I hope maybe someone has seen this before. When I am sitting in the seat, PTO off, brake pressed in, it starts and runs fine. Whe I release trhe brake, the engine quits. I removed and tested the brake interlock switch and it tested fine. Now I put in the switch and now all I have is headlights when I turn on the key. No idiot lights either. I hear some clicking but no starting. Also when it ran before noticed the PTO is making a high pitched squealing noise, when PTO was turned on the engine wanted to stall. Any feedback anyone??
