Cub Cadet 2400 will not start again

Eight hours on this new machine and it is doing the same thing today and Gods Countrys quick cure is failing to start it. Is this a common problem on this tractor?

Did you locate the foot brake switch? It is located under the tractor. Follow the foot brake arm to a plate welded to the arm that trips a switch. I would inspect the switch and harness just for my own knowledge. I suspect that is the problem. Could still be the seat switch or ignition related however.

At this point I see no reason why the dealer shouldn’t be involved. I’m sure it’s not a big deal, but I do understand your frustration.

Since the 2400 is diesel, I don't think it's an ignition problem... mostly because there is no ignition system. If the starter turns over and it doesn't start, then I suspect a fuel problem. Since you mentioned (I think) in the other post that it clicks, then I'd say maybe the starter is bad. If by click you really meant it does nothing, then I'd say it's one of the kill switches already mentioned.

At any rate, I 100% agree you should just call the dealer and have them fix it. It's new and, therefore, under warranty. In short, this is not your problem. It's the dealers problem.

Aloha Gods Country, When the mechanic gets here i will make sure he points out the exaxt location of these saftey switches. Thank you for the advice.
