Have a fat buddy stand on it. No, really this will get it down. All most all 3 points are gravity down. 99% of tractors are made this way, pressure up gravity down. There is usually a flow control valve some where in the down side of things. It controls the rate at which it goes down due to the different weights of implements. On my tractor the valve is a black knob down between my legs as I set on the seat but all are a little different.
You need to be able to adjust the down rate. For example a small potato plow only weighs 40# or so while a 6' Bush Hog weighs 600#. If you have the rate valve set for the potato plow and throw on the Bush Hog with out adjusting it it will slam down. By adjusting the valve, which is like a water spickot, it chokes off the path for the hydro fluid making it lower slower and nice and smooth.
