Has anybody else had traction problems. I had problems with the rear end sliding out from under me on my sloped yard.

Bar tires were to aggressive and tore up my yard but still didn't hold. I found these tires..."All Trail" by Carlisle size 23-10.50-12. They worked great...weren't to aggressive to tear up my yard but enough for great traction. Much better than the turf tires that came on it.

Improved it even more by filling tires with "Rim Guard" fluid and wheel weights. I now have great traction with little to no slippage. With a sloped yard this is the way to go. Pics attached.

Have a good one,
Ron

ronT,

Those tires look real nice !! You covered the weight thing pretty good with a big score on the rim guard.....In winter using AG's (carlisle) I use wheel weights and (5) 42 lb suitcase weights. Tires have no fluid and I have excellent traction using the blower...
The only thing I can think off would be suitcase weights, but I bet you dont need them with those tires - they look perfect for slick grass

Just one question.
What type of grass?
Was the grass a little damp maybe? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Very nice tires! Planning on ripping out tree stumps are we??? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

You'll find those tires on the 4wd JD X585. Really sweet tires. Do you have a locking diff on your tractor or is that on the 3200? I assume that is why you're sliding sideways, usually happens when your locked up.

Nice ride, very nice. Were did you get the wheel weights?

UberDog,

Type of grass?...probably a little of everything, weeds etc...what ever grows in Iowa. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I try never to cut it when it's damp. I'm real happy now with the extra weight and these tires. The tractor now has a real solid and stable feel. Works great.

A few stumps...naw...I have a Branson 4220 for that. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Have a good one.

MrWiggles,

The tires are nice. No locking diff on the 3204.

Bought the weights from my CC dealer but they are not Cub weights...there better, no plastic.

Have a good one,
Ron

Correction

It's a Branson 4020...not 4220
