Sometimes I think equipment and manuals were put on this Esrth to force guys to be humble whether they deserve it or not lol.
Every operator's manual I've seen for the i1050 describes grease fittings needing to be greased every 10 hours of use on the mowing deck spindles. Except they all claim it has to be done from the "underside" of the deck. No pictures are shown. Well I spent over an hour underneath that deck yesterday and I can find no grease fittings anywhere. There just are none . .
I cleaned off grass and even felt around everything with my fingers and flashlight in case something was hidden. My unit has only 113 hours on it and when I bought it there was 59 hours at the time just 13 months ago ( September 2011 manufacture date) . . so it obviously must be the 3 spindles are original/genuine spindles.
So whats the deal. The only thing I didn't do is take the blades off . . . and the manuals all say to lubricate every 10 hours . . so obviously it has to be easily accessible.
Anybody have a clue how to find these lubrication fittings ? Every other spot on the mower I've hit with grease numerous times since purchase a year ago . . . But not the spindles.
