- Cub Cadet model 13AX11CG709
Hello everyone, I have what I beleive is a cub cadet lt1024, model number 13AX11CG709. At least that what the Cub dealers are telling me. When I try to find out information about this model it shows it as having a single cylinder engine, yet mine has a 2cylinder 24hp engine. Just today, the PTO wouldn't engage, so I began the search for the problem and found a wire disconnected. I tried to reconnect it, but every time I lowered the deck it would disconnect again. I made the wire a little longer and now when machine comes on, it makes this weird noise and when you shut it off, the noise doesn't stop unless you turn the key to the run position, but you have to stop it first. This means the engine is not running, but the noise stopped.
I am going to try to trace all the wires as most of the safety systems have been disconnected by the previous owner such as the seat safety, the reverse safety, and I am sure there are others. I would also like to change the meter out as you cannot read it, the oil light stays on, even with new oil at the proper level.
I am very handy, but would like to know if this model ever came with a 24HP 2 CYL motor and if there are any videos or manuals to repair it. I think the E-PTO may be bad, but want to fix all the wiring and other things before going to deep into a 20 year old machine.
Any help would be great,
Thanks,
