Cub Cadet LTX 1046
Hello soon-to-be new owner here,

I had a question what anyone thought of the price difference between the 1045 and the 1046. It will cost me about $300 to jump to the 1046, but just don't know if I need it.

I have 14 acres, but just 2 that are cleared and needing to be cut. Slight grade on it. But I also want to use it to plow the 1/2 mile driveway in the winter. I may haul a cart some, but not often.

Will the 1045 with a 20 HP single cylinder be fine, or is worth the extra money for the 23 HP and V-Twin?

Thanks

I would shop by the transmission rather than the motor. I have found them to be the weak link.I think buying a riding mower by weight. I would go with a twin cylinder in a motor as large as you are looking at if they are simular quality motors.
