Cub Cadet is recalling 2,000 of it's 7000 series compact tractors.
According to the recall notice,the tractors high/low shift lever could pop out of gear into neutral when using attatchments on steep slopes.This could result in machines "free wheeling"until the brake is applied or the transmission is reengaged.
Models in recall include the 7252,7254,7264 and 7304.
The units were sold between May 2002 and mid October 2003.

The Consumer Product Safety Commision (CPSC) is working with the manufacturer on the equipment recall.
