Cub Cadet RZT 50
I swore that I would not own another Cub Cadet after the experience I had with the one I just sold. It was an LTX 1050 VT that I got at 1 year old and 125 hours. I used it for 10 hours and had to replace one spindle and a $60 belt twice.

My neighbor just bought a new zero turn and sold me his Cub RZT 50 that was in as new condition with 235 hours on it. Great, great mower. I'm as happy as a clam with it.

Welcome to TractorByNet. I've heard all the belly aching about thier CC's but most still fix and own them. I also have come to the conclusion when buying a ZT, to buy one that has cooling system for the hydraulics. It should have replaceable filters. In the ZT world. You get what you pay for. I buy only a commercial model of whatever brand I choose. They last longer, easy to service and frankly cut better. Good luck with your new mower and again welcome. -kid

I agree with the advice about buying a commercial model but the RZT 50 belonged to my neighbor and friend. He took meticulous care of the mower and he cut my lawn a few times with it. At the price I paid, I couldn't resist and I can sell it for a good profit if I needed to next year.

The Cub that I sold had a POS mower deck that I worked on several times before giving up on it. I would venture to say that we most likely fixed all the problems but keeping it, for me anyway, would be like waiting for the other shoe to drop - besides, I've wanted a zero turn for a long time.

You will love the Zero Turn. If it wasn't for a speed grade. At the road I'd get one of those ZT's. that had a steering wheel. My 13 year old commercial ZT requires some TLC on occasions but still runs and cuts great. Good luck with yours. -robert
