Cub Volunteer Owners?

I was fishing for feedback in the ATV section about the Cub Volunteers but nobody responded. I have been looking at side by sides for 6 months and have decided I really like the 31 HP Volunteer
Anyone have one or know somebody that does, they don't seem to get near the publicity as the gator's and Kubota's. They seem well built and are competitively priced. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

A neighbor up the road has had one for a couple years. Not sure if it's the "Volunteer" model or if it's 4x4. I know it's Kohler Command powered and he loves it. I just can't get over how expensive those buggers are! Any make/model.

Yea, they are expensive. The Volunteer is a little less then the Gator and Kubota. But you only go round once. A new toy now and then makes life interesting. I would buy a used one if the right deal came along. But even the used ones seem high to me. Anyway, I would still like to hear from someone that owns one.....CJ

I've got an 06 4X4 gas 20 HP Kohler. Just hauled it down to Ohio and ran it thru its paces on the new property. Bought it with 200 hours, and have put on about 20 so far.....I really like it. The independent suspension is awesome. it climbed some steep hills pretty easy, had to put it in Lo to get up em, they were s t e e p. I figure if the 20 HP Kohler quits, I can stick in the 25 HP command and be that much better. I owned the same machine with the CAT diesel, but that was my seller. That was a nice machine as well....much more grunt than the gas. More grunt on the wallet as well. Not 2 familiar with the new yanmar diesels, but hard to go wrong there or with the efi. (31 HP) I saved thousands buying used, and it's a great machine. I've got the dump bed, impressed with it, as it has a pretty big electric cylinder. Bought a full aftermarket cab on Ebay for 350. Very happy with it.....good luck!
