Cultipaker

Ok, now I need a cultipaker for LSMT347 with construction tires, think it will be 72 inches wide. (dont have it yet) I am looking at everythingattachmnets 72 inch or the 84 inch. Which one should I get , or it there something for less that is as good. Most of my fields are flat. 3point or pull behind? I am going to use it for food plots 2-4 acres. I doubt I ever do more than 5 acres in one year. Thanks

If your food plots include trees you need a Three Point Hitch mounted Cultipacker the same width as your tractor, so implement does not lodge against trees after the tractor passes through.

The cheap solution is a 24" diameter poly roller the same width or slightly greater than the gap between your rear tires. The ~800 pound roller + your rear tires will pack the seeds. A roller will not smush dirt clods like the iron wheels of a Cultipacker but the ground behind the roller will be smoother. You will want to carry the poly roller to your food plots in the FEL bucket, then pin it to tractor's rear/center drawbar.

Yeah, & I could use the riding mower to pull one of those.

Look on craiglist farm and home in your area. I have seen some good deals on older units. I picked up an 8ft one for 400bucks and it works great, a poly roller will get a hole if you have rocks or sharp sticks.

Get a three point model. It’s really easy to make a tow behind hitch for a three point version.
I made a simple tow hitch to tow my EA 96” cultipacker behind the tiller.

3LFarms, I like your 3 point to pull hitch.

I was thinking of just welding a 2” receiver in the center and using a length of 2” square tube as the tongue.

On yours you have a conn to the top center 3 point. Do you think it would be required also if I use the receiver hitch materials?

I have a pull behind but wish it was 3pt so I could move it from plot to plot easier. Been thinking about rigging it so that i could do either similar to what 3Lfarms did.
