Most military aircraft had those "hoses". In military lexicon, they're known as relief tubes. My shop was the lucky shop that got to take care of them. The only good point about them was if a particular pilot "pissed" (pun intended /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif) us off, we'd just go out and shorten the relief tube in his plane by about 4 inches! /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

<font color=blue>"That is SO mean!"</font color=blue>
It is, isn't it? Well, I can tell you this much. Once the pilot figured out what was going on and why, he went out of his way to avoid pissing us off!! Especially since we packed their parachutes too! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
I think bike water bottle cages are a good idea. You can get them in almost any color. You could make them look like OEM equipment. Of, course tap & die set will let you use machine screws for that professional look. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
