A month ago I was looking to buy a tractor. Due to some delay, I don't need it and can't store it if I have it for another 6 months. Yet I continue to comb the internet, searching for specs, prices, reliability info etc., and have TBN on my PC **** near permanently. I think I have obsessive, compulsive tractoritis. Any suggestion for a cure is welcome.

BTW, this post is only half in jest. The other half is true, I am spending way more time here than I can really afford.

Sorry, there is no cure...except to buy that tractor...

But, it's harmless fun dreaming (unless you're spending too much time on tractor sites when you should be working or doing more productive tasks).

Seems to be terminal. Even perscribing a tractor for the cure is temporary. The long term effects of implementitus stay with you forever /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

For Tractoritis have you Doctor prescribe Seatimecillin. It's only side effect is TBNitis.

Here I thought tractoritis was bad till you brought up implementitus. Best stick with tractoritis its alot cheaper than implementitus as I'm finding out. Although if you ask my wife she'll say the only cure for me is to stay off the internet. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Grumpa you are right. I should have just left my Tractoritis alone. That Seattimecillin has cased the following:
Impletmentitus
enlargement of my gragebarnitis
tooltitis
greasegunitis
compressoritis
weldenitis

I have to take so many medications now. So be happy with your tractoritis and stay away from those (drug/tractor) Dealers who think they have the cure.

Wonder if my Insurance will pay for any of my medications. Yes they are necessary.

Look at the delay as a blessing. You have additional time to learn about the subject and what you really need or want. You'll probably be looking around everywhere you go at tractors and implements, and perhaps you'll come across an opportunity that you can't pass up during this time. Seems like the only bargains I ever run upon are just after I made a large purchase in a hurry and didn't have the available funds!

That's why I am still ailing! No Seatimecillin available for a few months. Samples medicine is not available readily.

Egad!
Didn't know that Tractoritis is simply a gateway illness. What have I gotten myself into? Come to think of it, LadyRider is catching it too. I caught her looking at a 56 acre lot last night! GrandaLottaritis!

Well, If you want to cross the border to your west, I may be able to slip you a couple of doses. However, I must warn you that you will only want more and you will probably stop by a Dealer on your way home. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh no, So sorry to hear about LadyRider's GrandaLottaritis, I hear that will really inflame the Tractoritis.

No cure.. but it can be treated. Sometimes the treatments are expensive though ( treatments = tractor project )

I'm undergoing some agressive therapy myself right now... ! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif ( If only my insurance coverd it!!! )

For those of us who used to suffer from chaseheritits, the tractor therapy turned into nothing more than another crutch, but the tractoritis combined with the implementitis has turned out to be a little less expensive than the the chaseheritis was, but is fast catching up!
There is no real known treatment at this time, but some psychiatrists are reommending joining a self help group such as tractorbynet. Just goes to show you, they're the nuts! John

I have been in rehabilitation for about 1 month. Recovery was going quite well until today. Received my latest copy of Compact Equipment. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Included with it is a 80 page Attachment Buyer's Guide. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

For TRACTORITIUS, the best medication is to buy one, then keep looking for another one. now on the downside as with all medications there are some side effects, the worst side effect to this medication i s ringing in the ears(caused by wife yelling) this can be offset with a very strong dose of HONEYCILLIN this is where you swear that you only bought the tractor for her, so you can more easily do her wishes then you say see HONEY i did it for you /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi, my name is BOB and I have tractoritius. Just today I called a guy about an antique JD crawler. Good thing the lovely Mrs_Bob wasn't home. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif But hey, she approved the construction of a small barn so I consider that she gave me permission to buy a new toy!;)

Cajun from a guy that has walked in your shoes let me tell you that you dont have tractoritis. You have been missdiagnosed (sp) What you have is a common case of TRACTOR FEVER nothing more & nothing less !!

The only cure is to buy a machine, or keep hanging around TBN and keep whishing for one.
Trade in your wifes car & ring for one, you wont regret it ! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

ya'll left out the drug sweeping the rural and back water parts of the nation.
It's called Cracktor- Severe need of at 1hr or more per day of seat time in any tractor type vehicle. Preferable with FEL and other attchments.

Symptoms of with drawl- Grumpy all day, Shaking hands(need to grip a wheel and lever), Making tractor noise's while a sleep.(my wife thinks it's snoring). Can't get comfortable in the lazy boy.( it just doesn't sit like the tractor).
Obsession with tractor shows and toys. While shopping with the wife for cloths all you consider is will it look good with the tractor. The abilty to home in on a tractor or empliments for sale within miles of any spot you happin to be at. Always scanning the side of the road and exits on the highway for tractors or equipment....

This list goes on and on. as a constant sufferer of this and being one who travel 70% of the time I can tell you. I have sat on many a tractor thru out the country. Even just a few minutes make the whole week better... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Although is it cheatting if you get seat time on any tractor but the one at home?
