So hey guys I'm new here so try and take it easy on me :). With that said I just bought a used 2005 Cub Z Force with a 44" deck on it. I love the way it cuts and it saves me tons of time. The only thing I didn't notice when I check it out before buying is the tracking on the mower. What I mean here is the left handle has some play in it compared to the right. In the neutral position both handles seem right. When I push them both forward I think everything is close I might veer a little to the left.. Its when in the neutral position and I go to pull back I can pull the left handle maybe 4" before it starts to do anything. Is this just a simple adjustment? If you want I can load a video to show what I am talking about... (Sorry again I am new to zero turns.. :(. ) Thanks guys for any help

Before adjusting, check all linkage points for looseness. Replace any loose joints before adjustment.

I bought a 44" Z Force in 2005 or so. It had Briggs and Stratton engine that turned out to be disastrous. I hope you don't have a Briggs on yours. It did indeed drive and cut extremely well.

Good luck,

Hey thanks. Im hoping this is just a easy fix and not a major issue with my mower.

A Kohler? GREAT! I bet it serves you well.

I had the same problem a few weeks back on my RZT50. I thought the right side steering damper had broken off, but it backed out of the threaded end. I just threaded it back in, had to remove the battery for access.
