Got a soft cab on order for my 4210, and have a question about the rear portion of the cab, and how it fits. I have long legs, and need the seat all the way back. The pics on the web site dont show if the rear part of the cab has a relief that goes in between the ROPS bars. The pic for the Kubota shows this relief. Just curios if the model for the JD has this, or am I gonna have to learn to steer with my knees? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I bought the exact same cab you are getting, but I haven't taken the time to put it on the tractor yet. In looking at the installation manual, I don't see any sort of bump-out behind the seat, but then the pictures aren't the best either.

It's raining here this afternoon, so I am going to start assembling the cab. I doubt I'll get far enough along to help you with your question, but if I do, I'll give you a shout back.

Here's a pic of a hard-sided Curtis on a 4100 listed on ebay (BTW looks like another scam), this pic seems to answer my question, but would still like to hear what your's looks like.
Thanks

Hello

I am thinking of buying a curtis cab for my JD 4610 and am courious as to how the price you paid compares to what is listed on the curtis webb site. Is the webb price the selling price or dealers discount the cabs some?

Thanks

My dealer didnt discount it any at all, the price listed on Curtis' web site is what my dealer charged. Now if I had bought my tractor from them, maybe they would have. Dont know what kind of margin they have to play with.

IMHO, You better not take too much more time thinking about it, so you dont wait so long that Curtis gets behind in mfg and the white crap starts flying and you still dont have your cab. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif They had lost my dealer's order (been about 2 mths ago), said they had just finished a batch of cabs and would have the next batch out in 2 weeks, mine should be in that batch. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

jdgreg-

I put the cab back panel on my 4310 today and then I slid the seat back as far as it would go. The red slow-moving-vehicle triangle mounted on the back of the seat hit the back panel and I don't think the seat went back as far as usual. Unfortunately, I wasn't smart enough to measure how far back it went before I mounted the back panel, so I can't give you a definitive answer on lost legroom. The legroom still feels comfortable to me, but my legs aren't especially long (32" inseam).

I will be taking the red triangle off the seat to mount it where it can be seen. That may give another inch of legroom.

I'll check back in after I get the whole cab installed. So far, I'm pretty unimpressed with the installation manual ... the text isn't too bad, but the pictures are small and dark. It's hard to even tell which side of the pieces you are looking at.

Good luck.
