Cushman 1600xd Cvt drive engages at start up and will not shift

I'm a new owner of a Cushman 1600xd. Great machine put the clutch engages at startup and will not allow me to shift in between forward and reverse. I have to shut the engine off and start it back up to get it to shift every time. I took the CVT drive cover off I turn the idle all the way down but as soon as you start the engine the clutch engages and turns the belt. I was looking at getting a new clutch part number from Kotti U3210-29011 but it's $1500.00. is there an aftermarket that will work? The POLARIS RZR 1000 XP looks like the same clutch and its only $172.00 any ideas if that clutch will work and if someone has pulled off the clutch do you have a part # for the removal tool thanks in advance for answers

usually there are springs inside to keep the clutch from engaging all the time. I do not know your machine but maybe it is something simple like a broken spring inside the clutch.

I have a kioti mechron basically the same machine I'm having the same problem going to try a primary clutch rebuild looks like it is very warn on mine
