Cushman Haulster / Truckster Info needed.

I just picked up a pair of these Cushman 4 wheel UTV's at a local municipal surplus auction... Just wandering if anyone has one or has experience or info about them....
From what I have figured out so far, they are 1986 models #898532-8610, the have horizontally opposed OMC 2 cyl air cooled gas engines rated at 22hp. the have a hydraulic pump on the engine for the dump bed, 3 speed trans, high low 2 speed rear end, Rear PTO, 110 volt inverter.. really seem like a true UTV... I have not found any info on what was available to run off the rear PTO.
Any Info would be welcome. thanks... Will probably sell one of them once I get them running....

I have a couple of Cushman Golfsters, a three and a four wheeler. If yo are ever in need, I have a nice three speed w/reverse and PTO transmission for sale that probably fit either of your Cushmans.

ever consider a lift kit and knobby tires for your golf cart???

I have a friend who owned a small private airport and used one of those old Trucksters with two-speed rear end as a tow vehicle for light airplanes. I think his was much older than yours and also was a 3-wheeler. I don't know what you paid, but I'd bet you will get your money out of your two Trucksters. Nice buy!

Got one of them into my garage yesterday so hopefully i can get to working on it soon. Both the engines turn over by hand so at least they are not locked up.. Did find an original registration for one and they were both bought new by the City of Lafayette, Colorado and owned by them until I bought them. so my guess is they have been maintained regularly. I'm sure they just got replaced with something newer.... I did not get titles for them so I will have to check with the auction company or the DMV and see if they were ever issued titles. Not sure if this type of vehicle even requires a title to use in Colorado.

No,No and No. It is totally stock, pristine and runs well.
I originally tagged the golf cart in this thread as a "CG 400" wrong by me as it is a "GC400" Gran Cushman 400.

well I got the first one up and running today. carb overhaul, new battery, replaced battery cables, cleaned contacts etc and overhauled master cylinder. its runs great and moves pretty good too Speedometer and tach not working yet. Hydraulic dump and pto work perfect.. will get to working on the second one later this week or weekend

We have a cushman truckster at work similar to the ones that Soutthpaw has. We had a four wheeled 1999 one but we got rid of it after the idiot of the shop wrecked it to many times. We still have a 1997 three wheeled cushman jr truckster. Ours has a Kohler two cyl. engine, hydraulic dump, and no pto. The three wheel one is great for getting in tight areas our RTV's cant. I know that if you take the bed off on ours there is a spot to put a ball for a gooseneck. Cushman made tons of attachments for the trucksters. For pull behind equipment they made; sprayers, aerators, vacs, and more stuff I do not know about. For in bed equipment you could get, blowers, vacs, core harvesters, sprayers, top-dressers, boxes, garbage beds, aerial lifts, and much more. Check the tie rod ends to make sure they are good. The low range is nice and slow so you can set the hand throttle and get out and walk along the vehicle. They are great machines but not very off road worthy.

I have been having a hard time finding info on all the attachments, came across a few on sleezbay that looked cool. I bought all the routine service parts yesterday, plugs, oil filters etc. I will be looking for a cheap brush hog. I like the idea of running one off of a truckster cuz the blades and Hence dust and noise would be about 6-8 feet behind the operator... would make for a comfortable mower
