Just wanted to share my recent experience with Rock at OMNI MFG LLC in building me a custom weight bracket for my tractor. A few months ago I picked up a used Kubota L2800 off Craigslist. After a couple of hours of loader work I came to the quick realization that I needed some weight on the back of the tractor. A few weeks later I was helping my family clean out my Grandfather's farm and came across some JD 3020 wheel weights. Soon after I sketched up a concept of a 3 point weight bracket to carry the wheel weights. I shipped off my sketch to two different 3 point hitch makers asking if they would help me with my project.
Rock with OMNI was the first to get back with me. After a few emails back and forth Rock came up with a different take on my concept. I had originally envisioned the weights laying horizontal on something resembling a pallet connected to an inverted T where the upper and lower 3 point arm would attach. Rocks concept was to make a bracket with a horizontal shaft matching in inner diameter of the wheel weights. The weights would then slide onto the shaft and be carried vertical. Liking Rock concept I told to proceed under the condition that the final bracket be quick hitch compatible.
In three weeks time Rock had the bracket fabricated and sent me pictures asking what color I would like the bracket painted. Kubota orange of course! One week later the completed bracket arrived at my door. After unpacking it I immediately installed the supplied 3 point pins and back my tractor up to the bracket. My quick hitch aligned perfect with the pins. Awesome! Next I loaded the wheel weights onto the bracket shaft. Just like the quick hitch, the weights slid on with a nice tight fit. Perfect all away around!
All I have to do now is drill some holes into the backing plate and secure the weights with bolts.
I can't say enough good things about Rock and OMNI MFG. The bracket is well made with good clean welds and attention to detail. Price for the bracket, pins, paint and shipping came to $302.18. Very reasonable when compared to off the shelf ballast boxes or similar suitcase weight brackets. The bracket came in about 110# and each weight is 140# so I can add a total of 670# of weight to the back of the tractor.
Below are some pictures of the brackets and wheel weights.
Wheel weights I took out of the barn.

Weights all painted up. FYI I used factory Kubota II orange paint. Holy cow is that stuff thick! Good stuff.
