Custom Weld Piece, Need Measurements

I have a 790 w/ 300 Front End Loader and I'm wanting to get an attachment that will enable me to use the loader to move my two gooseneck trailers in and out of the shed, can't use the truck because I need to lower the trailers a little more or else the a/c won't clear. Anybody know where I can find schematic measurements of the receiving end of the new attachment, or the measurements of the hookup that is on the loader arms? The reason I'm wanting both is that I want the welder to know what measurements he needs and I can't draw(sadly to say also my measurement skills aren't any good as well). I have tried searching all over on the JD website, but with no luck. Thanks for the help.

If you just need a receiver hitch (and I don't think you do), send me a PM with your real email address. I offer a free set of plans to build you ron bucket receiver hitch. The plans are very detailed and include a complete cut/parts list and photos. As a bonus you will get a set of plans for bucket forks too.

I actually need the attachment that goes directly onto the loader arms, I can't use this particular bucket because of the weight limits of it. The bucket that comes with the 300 loader can only handle round 500 and something lbs and the tongue weight of my horse trailer exceeds that, but not the 970 lb limit of the arms, so I actually need the full attachment to go directly onto my loader, thanks though. If the bucket could have handled it I would have tried to do that, but my bucket won't be able to.

Can you haul tractor to welding shop and tell them you need a reciever hitch welded to a piece of plate that will attach to where the bucket attaches? Or just take the bucket, they could probably fab it up from measurements off of it.

Ran into this problem on Saturday, needed to turn the horse trailer around with out using the truck.
1st use the 3120 with the bucket, I had my RB on with 4-42lb weights mounted on the blade, didn't work, not enough weight on the back end of the tractor. Tractor would lift it but got scary.

Then I thought or remembered seeing a 3 point hitch attachment that I could move my GN trailer with.

I would agree with the three point hitch set-up. I have one with a 2 5/16" ball mounted on the top near the upper link for GN trailers.

Do you know the pin weight of the trailers? Make sure the 790 hitch will pick it up before you spend the money on the hitch.

I don't have the numbers...
But when I built my forklift set and my FEL snowplow I just mounted the peices to the loader with clamps and tacked it together as I built the frame. Seemed much easier and safer than trying to measure. I have not seen the dimensions published. I know this does not help you much...
