Howdy,
I have an L2800 HST that I've owned for a year and a half.
(the following is with the PTO disengaged!!!)
Up until a couple weeks ago, I was able to throttle down to idle, put the parking brake on, and then dismount the tractor with it still running.
Handy for hopping of to move something out of the way, or pick up a rock and through it in the FEL.
Now, when I hop off the tractor, it dies (like I'd expect if the PTO was engaged and the seat down).
It does this most of the time now.
I've tried lifting the seat up as I get up, but it still dies. If the PTO is engaged, I can lift the seat up and the tractor will continue to run.
Any suggestions on where to look? It seems that with the PTO engaged, the kill switch works as advertised (kill if owner dismounts and doesn't lift seat, remain running if owner dismounts and lifts seat).
Thanks, Mike
