Ok, so I just undertook my first welding project this weekend, I am making a propane forge for my blacksmithing hobby (the welder will figure in heavily to blacksmithing as well, or at least that's how I sold it to my wife ) All went well but I realized that the Dewalt cutoff wheels and flapper disks I bought at the local box store were utter crap. So I did what I typically do, got on the trusty interweb and became overwhelmed with the choices. I went to the LWS's web site and found several manufacturers of both cutoff wheels and flapper disks. I also saw that several manufacturers had developed 3 in 1 disks which I had never seen before. Here is a link to one of them: http://www.cgwheels.com/htmls/3-in-1...3187&bsp=13091
Anyone have any experience with the 3 in 1 type wheels? How about a suggestion for just a regular cutoff wheel and flapper disk? I am cutting mainly 16 gauge mild steel sheet and dressing my rather ugly welds. Thanks in advance.
