Cutting fire wood

Well i finished cutting fire wood today been working on it weekends. I needed to get more sun light to a wet section of one of may main woods roads so i been opening up that section.I thought i would clear cut a swath 40' wide for about 3/8 of a mile. I figured i might get a couple 2 or 3 coards while I was at it. I cleared about 150' of that and have 6 or 7 cord pulled out there always seems to be so much more wood than you think, till you start cutting. So I will have to begin again next winter and go some more.The worst wet spot is all cleared and the sun pours in.When I left I dropped 8 ceders for the deer to have, the sonw is deepI saw one lone track crossing my road ,got to feeling bad for them its had to find food when the snow is so deep.With what I had already put up in the wood yard and this new wood I have 2 years of wood done it is a good feeling. Came home and found a place to mount my saws and mounted an old tool box as well.It's nice here today 36 degrees now.

That is quite a swath to cut. And a lot of work too.

yes i have to try adding a picture i have never done it ,As for how i keep my road plowed all winter and i have a farmi winch my total plowed section of road is about a half mile

Mine was plowed too until Wednesday night... I'm going to have to wait for some rain to shrink it down a bit before I can get back to cutting.

yea i know what you mean it is snowing here now wet heavy stuff.I plow mine after every storm only way to keep it open.
