I have a Purox CW202 cutting torch. The O2 trigger-valve leaks. Am looking for a valve repair kit. Does anyone have any leads?

If I remember correctly from my distrib days the part number is an 08M06. Doubt you will find one but worth a look. You will also need to make a tool to remove the plunger or maybe use the tips of a snap ring pliers. If it just leaks, you can take it out and replace o-rings and see what you get. Good Luck.

Usually the spring in the kit wears down and it too can be stretched back out or replaced if you can't find the kit.

Thank you! You have given me hope.

The part is available. Just google it. I think it was $22.00 I couldn't find one on e-bay. Purox is no more. When ESAB and Victor were thrown together by Colfax, Purox was discontinued. You can get tips from Profax I believe.

I appreciate all of the good advice. I first went to the hardware and got O-rings and replaced them, stretched the spring and tested the torch. It still had a leak. I looked online again and found that Regulator and Torch Exchange has a kit for my torch. I was also able to get an exploded view of the torch. I only replaced two O-rings, there is another that I overlooked as well. This was my first experience with the forum, it is great to have a place to come for good advice and share experiences.

I think the problem is really that flat rubber disc that the plunger is pushed against by the spring. Sometimes you can flip it over and or lube it sparingly with O2 proof grease.
