I want to make my rear blade tilt and angle hydraulicly. What would be the proper mounting angle of the cylinders to put the least amount of force on them when draging the blade.I'm thinking of using either a 6" or 8" stroke cly.
Should the moving mount be closer or farther from the blades pivot point.

northernguy, the farther you mount the cylinder end from the blade pivot the less force on the cylinder, but the longer the stroke on the cylinder has to be. You did not say how big of a blade you are working with, I used a 2" dia X 8" stroke on my 60" blade it is mounted about 8" from the blade pivot, I have no problems with the cylinder. Your distance from the blade pivot will be determined by the cylinder stroke and how far you want your blade to pivot.
