Had a cylinder pop and start spraying fluid. Looks like a bolt let go on the rods along the cylinder. Can I just retighten or do I need to take this to a shop? Thank you - Dana

Tightening may stop the leak, but how did it happen anyway. If the bolts stretched they arent strong enuf and need upgrade or itll just do it again.

There should be an O-ring where the cylinder fits into the end cap. You can try to just tighten the tie rods, but you'll most likely have to replace the O-ring.

It may have failed from vibration loosening of the nut or simply deterioration of the o-ring. New o-rings on both sides and some lock-tite on the threads should get you back on the road again.

On closer examination it looks like one of the rods let go (appears to have stripped) and the nut slid up. I can see the o-ring and I think it should be replaced as its kind of squished now. Don't know what caused this but it had been sitting since last winter and who knows! It kind of got stuck then pop.

Thank you for the responses! - Dana
