Cylinder seal replacement ?

I have an ARK loader with 2 '' cylinders that have internal snap rings on either end. I removed snap rings and cannot remove end caps. They are not threaded and no corrosion, but they will not budge. Soaked with penetrating oil overnight, no luck, anyone have a thought on removing the seal end cap . Regards, Dean

A picture is worth a thousand words! I'm not familiar with that loader or it's components. On one cylinder I have there is an external snap ring and then I have to push the end in to get at the internal snap ring. Worth a look maybe?
EDIT: I just reread and see that you have internal snap rings and have them out alread, maybe pull the rod out?

Yes, good pics help since they are many methods used for gland retention.

I have tried to push gland inwards to see if a lock wire was inside, gland will not move, put a 5/8 steel pin in rod end and mounted in large vice, and tried slide hammer style in pulling rod/piston/gland out of tube. it will not move and I am not feeble. I have repaired numerous cylinders at work over the years, but a small 2''diameter x 18'' stroke has me stumped.

oxy/acet heat is your friend, but don't overdo it......when it seems it is too hot (never red), set it aside and wait till cool to resume

Sometimes the hot and cold cycle will help, multiple times if needed
