I have 2011 D110. One of the improvements over past models is that hour meter only runs when the engine is on; if you forget the key in on position, it won't run-up any hours as my old L118 did. At the same time; hour meter cannot be disconnected while the engine is running as the mower would cut off.
Recently, my hour meter went bad and I could not keep the tractor running (at about 130 hrs). Since the mower is out of warranty, I bought a new hour meter and snapped it in and she fired right up. It only shows 2 hours now though; I know that this is an unusual request as everyone wants to have less hours on their machines, but is there a way to add more hours to it so it shows the actual hours?
I will be looking into some x300-x500 series next year and would like to be truthful about my machine when sold.
I have 4 wires going into it; black, white, yellow, and yellow with white stripe.......
