Is this from Bill's Tractor in Texas?
Have you considered any 4WD units?
How many acres do you want to work and is the bulk of the work brush hogging?

i am not Bill's tractor but I am considering making the purchase from his dealership. I live on 30 acres and shredding would be a large part of the work but I plan to use it to clean up and plant lease pastures in time. I haven't really considered the 4-wd due to the cost and the thought the bigger 2-wd would prove more usefull on the bigger places. I am considering the 6000 model or the 5005 model with a loader. What due you think? Thank you very much for your time.

Give me a dollar figure, your budget is allowing you to spend and the list of items you expect to buy for that money, then I can give you a better answer...
Right off the bat, {I'll explain in detail later} those transmissions offered on those two Mahindra's are very dated {sliding gear} and work very poor with a loader {back & forth shuttle}. Unless they have changed the hydraulics to dual/separate pumps, you may also have borderline hydraulic flow and pressure for decent loader work...
You must remember these designs have been around since the late 50's/early 60's and really haven't been upgraded that much since...
Anyways, I'll wait for your response and go from there...
I just have a feeling, you can get something else much better with a little compromising for about the same dollars you plan on spending... {especially if you have your heart set on a loader... I really feel you'd be disappointed with this combination you've potentially selected.}

The Mahindra 5005 is available from Delta Tractor in Batesville, MS for $12750.00
and
the Mihandra 5005DI (not sure if the different model number indicates differences in the tractor) from Knox Tractor in Houston.TX for $11950.00
Neither offer the 6000 on their websites.
How does this compare to your pricing? Does "Bill's" have a website?

My top price is around $17,000. That would include the tractor and maybe loader, 6' shredder(not light), 6' box blade, 6' rock rake. I'll add more equipmnt later as I need it. Bottom line I would like to get the most I can for up to $17,000. The price from Knox matches the best I have found. I have looked a billstractor.com and topflightequipment.com. There is also a place near Ft. Worth, E&E Equipment, that can give a price in that range. I really appreciate. This is the help I was hoping to find.
