So it is time to replace/improve the lights in the wife's horse barn. It is a metal building with 18 ft ceilings (50 x 30 with roll up doors on either end. Currently, there are home cheapo fluorescent shop lights scattered through out the barn. My wife leaves the roll up doors on either end up almost all of the time, so the barn does see a lot of condensation, occasionally some blowing rain and its fair share of dust.
Most of the existing fixtures are shot and I am going to need to replace them (as well as reposition them for better lighting). I am planning on using LED lights just to save me the effort of climbing a very tall ladder to replace bulbs.
So my question is: should I go with a damp or wet rated fixture for the barn vs a standard shop light?
Thanks.
