Danuser Auger F7

I am asking for my husband...he has a Danuser F7 auger and it needs oil. We talked to the Danuser dealer and was told that the older model we have needed to use John Deere corn head grease. My husband says this auger has weep holes (my name for them) that once the oil/grease is full the weep holes will start weeping. This tells you it is full, but my husband says the grease would be too thick to come out of the weep holes so he is concerned that this auger really doesn't use corn head grease. Any knowledge on what a Danuser f7 auger uses? oil or grease? Thank you for your help!

I have the same one and used Corn head grease

It is sort of a conundrum with the weep or level plugs. Once the auger heats up the grease, you may be able to check the level, but the main thing is that it being grease, it will cover the bearings and gears if you put in about a pints worth.

Thank you for your reply. The Danuser rep said it will take 3 lbs of corn head grease if it is empty. Hope he was right!

4 or 5 lbs thinking more will not hurt. Works fine
