Oil & Fuel Darker exhaust from new diesel fuel?

Actually, anyone can make the LSD, or downgrade ULSD to that if it doesn't pass spec's. It is just the smaller refineries that can't afford to convert to ULSD, so they are buying into somebodies 10% that is running 100% ULSD.
The law requires 80% of your fuel to be ULSD, and if your running 100 %, you can sell your 20% to somebody that has only LSD capibilites.

Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel is now at my local pumps. Compared to last set of fill-ups, the darker exhaust has resolved. Maybe I was getting more "crud" from the bottom of the tanks during the transition.

Everything seems back to normal now. Are there any special precautions to take with the new ULSD fuel in Kubota engines?

None that have been endorsed by Kubota. I use ULSD in my B2710 and my 1963 TD6 bulldozer with no problems but I do add white bottled Power Service to the fuel.
