Yep the tlb isn't going to get anything accomplished for all the safety risks being taken.

In the second video screw the tractor, my dog's safety is more important to me so I keep him inside when doing machine and welding work. Oh, and if I had kids they would be inside too.

Is that all you could find?

Ya, I would be worried about the dog.

The third one appears to be in a cemetery - appropriate setting...

Not to get things going....

The second video of the 790- excellent example of why turfs are very not good for snow and ice in MY neck of the woods. We almost always have a base of ice or hardpack under the snow.

In addition to the obvious safety issues, these got me thinking about taking an even closer look at my next used piece of equipment. To get the 790 going, I would imagine there was a fair amount of popping & slipping the clutch. And, clearly the 2305 loader's likely to twist with the strain of the backhoe & full weight of the tractor, FEL & operator working at an angle.

I keep my dog inside when I'm mowing (w/ lawn tractor and brushhogging), snowblowing and plowing. And since that's most of what my tractors do, I guess I'm just like jenkinsph! If I didn't like the dog so much, at least I can justify protecting him and my wallet from frequent visits to the vet.

Probably not too much, really. If a higher gear is selected and the hand throttle is set about 2000RPM, just normally releasing the clutch results in a pretty quick start (trust me, I did it when I thought I was in 4th LOW rather then 4th HIGH!). That, plus the turfs on snow...
Not saying he wasn't an idiot... His rear tires must have been filled, otherwise I think that 790 would have rolled.

We have about an 1/8th (or a little less) of an acre fenced in behind the house. If Jule (our pup) wants to go out...that's where she goes. Heck, we had that fence installed (at about $1500) just for her!

As far as that guy with the 2305 on it's side...now, there's a Darwin runner up!

Ah, if only the Darwin candidates only hurt themselves... :(

Seems like there's always other people or critters that get hurt, or someone who gets left in a bind, or someone who pays for the candidate's mistake. Survival of the most adaptable is a graduate level course at the School of Hard Knocks.
