Dash Cams ??

I have been thinking about buying a Dash cam for my personal pickup truck. Kinda of cover my butt in case of accident and such.Looking at the I-max B60 on amazon for $99 bucks.Anyone else running a dash cam in your car or truck?

I have one and use it most of the time. Costco for around $90 . was rear ended a few weeks ago, it recorded it, showing me stopping at a red light, then getting knocked forward. No significant damage.

I think they are useful, but as I don't drive the personal miles I used to, haven't coughed up for one yet. That's more reflective of a limited budget, than lack of intent/interest.

When I searched for the I-max B60 on amazon, it came up $88. That's without the memory card. With card it's $99.

Costco requires a membership. How much does that add to the price?

I was thinking of buying 1.. I found a map somewhere ,that show states that have laws against mounting things like this to the windshield.. My state is on that list.. So, I'm still on the fence

Windshield mounts illegal in 28 states? - GPS Tracklog

For Texas, the law applies to sun screening or aftermarket window tint but written in such a way that it could be stretched to include any thing including our state's registration sticker.

You could attach it to the RVM or the trim just behind the windshield.

One of mine mounts on the mirror bracket. Its more of a less expensive gopro rather than a dashcam, but i use it also as a dashcam.

The real dashcam (cobra) starts on motion, records gps coordinates, when you playback it shows where you are on google maps, and speed. Look on amazon. I bought at costco because they were on special.

there are thousands of them on the market.. Hard to know which 1 has the best night vision ,without tons of reading ,and knowing what to look for

I ordered the I-max 60 dash cam today from amazon for $99 bucks with a 32 memory card. For the $99 price if it does not work that great I am not out a great deal of $$$.From what I have researched and the comments on amazon it has decent reviews..
