I am certain that it is a funk conversion, the sheet metal cowl extension above the dashboard was part of the conversion kit.

Wow, was not expecting to see a Funk conversion when I clicked on this thread! As said it's an earlier version with the channel frame reinforcements (later models used a cast oil pan).
Condition and originality can vary the price quite a bit but seem to be from about 5-7k for a properly running one in decent cosmetic condition around here.
I saw one for sale at a show Saturday in what appears to be a little bit rougher shape for 4800 which is the lowest I've seen.
I would tell her to definitely advertise and find the local steam and gas engine club/association to help get the word out, a lot of collectors like the Funk tractors.
