Mahindra 1815 HST
I have a Mahindra 1815 HST tractor,my question is when I have my foot off the speed ratio pedal it wants to slightly creep in the forward or reverse and also how do I adjust my brakes. When I have the lever locked on a hill it moves.

I壇 appreciate any diagrams and pictures

Thanks david71

I have a similar issue with the creeping. Best advice I can give is to hit the reverse pedal just a hair to fully release the forward motion pedal, and vice versa. I'm sure there is a way to adjust the tension on the pedals, but I have not tried it.

Re your brakes. I have a different model, but yours may be similar. On each side of the under carriage there is a long rod (small diameter) with a union fitting. You can tighten the union fitting a turn or two to adjust the brakes. One turn is usually more than enough on mine.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but it might give you a place to start.

Good luck!

At work we have a Kubota HST tractor and it does the same thing....creeps. We just lightly fool with the pedals until we get her stopped. It's kind of a PITA.

I personally am not a big fan of the HST drive tractors.

The HST shouldn’t creep forward (or backwards) when the pedal isn’t depressed. Start by inspecting and lubricating the linkage- their should be some grease fittings. Next verify any springs or other means to return the pedal are in good shape. Beyond that your manual should have some guidance for adjustments- typically this is done to the linkage.
I’d start with lubrication- it’s common to miss those zerks and that will cause the symptom you describe.

This is what I have done but my LS G3038H also tends to "creep", more often when it is cold than when it is warm. This is a new issue as it did not do it for the first 300 hours or so. As you know, the design of the HST is that the pedals return to neutral when released or, at least on my LS, when the brakes are depressed. Depressing the brake still returns my pedals to neutral. My Kubota B21 TLB had 2300 hrs on it when I sold it and it never creeped.

None of my lubricating efforts have completely solved the problem, nor has moving the return spring to a point that provides more tension, although these efforts did improve performance. My system has a damper lever on it, sort of a pneumatic shock absorber. An other TBNer suggested that this might be sticky and that is certainly possible but I have not pulled it off to check it. I don't see any way to lube this device but it may also be something for you to check.

Welcome to the forums, if you find something that works make sure you share it with us. Thanks.

lube and check adjusments and if not adjustments make sure your shock is working smooth.. it may be getting week and not giving enough force to return to neutral
