Hey folks,
I'm looking to set up a pressure gauge on the Davis/MF 99 loader on my '64 MF35 Utility. I'm pretty sure the hydraulic lines are 1/2" SAE Standard. I've been poking around a bit for a "T" to place just before my spool valves.
Is this as "easy" as finding a T that will fit the 1/2" SAE pressure line, and the third side to fit a pressure gauge or an adapter for the gauge?
If so, can anyone help me find such a fitting? I'm getting a bit dizzy reading all the descriptions on Surplus Center and Discount Hydraulics. I'm plenty mechanically inclined, but pretty new to hydraulics. In the meantime, back to my search. Thanks!
PS- I'm looking to do this because I believe my curl function isn't as powerful as it should be, I'm thinking maybe my curl cylinder is bypassing. Also need to make sure this old Cessna pump is putting out the pressure it should.
Hydraulic oil is new, I recently flushed it twice. I can lift easily 700lbs, that I know for a fact because the loader will lift my flail, or a lawnmower with ease. I've been removing some heavy brush and it seems to me that the pressure relief squeals sooner than it should. Maybe an adjustment will fix? Again, need to check pressure. Thanks!
