Dayton AC/DC Welders - Any good?

I see you are a fellow Canadian. Get on to Princess Auto because you will need to buy some longer leads.Your 10' leads are the standard lenght. You can live with that lenght but it is like being a dog on a short leash. P.A. sells 25' precut lengths that you can join to your existing 10' lenghts making 35 footers. The heavier the gauge the more you have to pay.
My last 10' on the electrode is of a lighter gauge because it reduces the weight and wrist action.
Have fun

Here is a handy dandy chart for you to consider if you want to lengthen the leads (and you will) don't forget that the length given on the chart is for the total length of both leads added together. So if you wanted 100 foot length away from the welder you would need to figure 200 foot total.

Extension cords are cheaper than welding lead, so get a mix which suits you and make a cart or dolly with large wheels. Easily done since you'll have a welder! :D

It has a 20 ft power cord and 10 ft leads. I'm not too worried about it.
