Dealer Dayton, VA Massey Dealer Closes After Many Years

I'm not sure how important this is to anyone, but thought some TBN member might need or want to know.
News Story
It's too bad, they have been in business forever. A fixture that has always been there on the drive to town. A family business recently sold to someone out of town...yadda yadda...seen it all too often.

For some reason it reminds me of a sig I saw somewhere:
"We live in a time when we have artifically flavored lemonade and our furniture polish has real lemons in it."

Is this the dealer on Rt 33, just a few blocks west of 42? I know there is a dealer there, but dont remember what brand they carry..

its very odd that they havent said anything about selling/bankruptcy etc.. they closed like most restaurants do, quickly and without warning..

I wonder if MF Corp shut them down and is going to open it back up as a corporate store? One of my coworkers said this happened to a JD dealer over near Charlottesville while he was there conducting an audit.. One day the owner was running it, the next day entirely new management team from JD Corporate was in place..

Hi thatguy,
This is the Dayton Equipment store located several blocks south of Rt 33 on Rt 42 S.
The one you are thinking of is Rockingham New Holland(used to be J. O. Stickley & Sons I think). The RNH store is still open.
On second thought, right next door to RNH is where Whitesel Bros. used to be, but now they sell their John Deeres a few miles out of town. So there is an empty tractor dealer lot there on Rt. 33.

I have heard nothing about why they closed the store.
