de-rutting a grass/dirt road

   / de-rutting a grass/dirt road #11
My gravel driveway is a mile long. Its at the point now that the crown is a nice straight row of green grass right down the center. The actual driven tracks have no grass but grass grows nicely on both sides. I do not grade, rip nor disk it - the grass is integral to the quality of the road. I simply agitate low areas with my scarifiers and add gravel as needed.

The only reason I remove the grass from the center and the edges, is the part with grass becomes higher, creating two dips where the tires go. And since my driveway is one long slope to the bottom, these become sluiceways for rain. And this will cause washouts. Otherwise I would leave it as I think it looks nice and "country."
