De-thatched my lawn----good seat time

I'd be on the look out for emerging broad leaf weeds. They always move in to those bare spots to protect the soil from eroding. If you haven't re-seeded, it would be a good idea to do it as soon as you can.

After it rained yesterday I checked and there are bare spots but they are not all that big. Maybe just a few inches by a few inches.
My plan was to drag again in late August/early September and seed then. Perhaps existing grass wound spread into the bare spots by then?
Control weeds with 2-4-D before.

What do you think about that idea?
Seeding in the spring is difficult here because it takes so long for the bluegrass blend to germinate and we often get a lot of hot and dry weather.

Let me add that the lawn looked really great yesterday and I can't get over what a difference it made.
