Comparison Dead 1300 D

My poor little 1300 D spun a cranckshaft. Very sad day! Been looking for a motor or?? I am wondering if any other solutions exist.....Say. Will another model engine fit in the tractor? Will the FEL and parts fit another size tractor? If I found a 2wd can the 4wd parts from mine be used to convert it? Any ideas out there? Thanks

The engines in these little tractors are designed to be rebuildable. The bearings are readily available. What about just fixing the one you've got? The parts will probably be adaptable to some other machines. A YM155 will be easy, since they are basically the same tractor. Trying to match it up to a bigger tractor may be more tricky.

Like 284 said, I think rebuilding yours is the most direct approach.

You might also research if Yanmar built a boat engine using your block of the same cc and in the same era, or even an engine for a semitrailer refrigeration unit. (These both were the case for YM2000). Those might be cheaper sources for a salvage block.

I think Bruce1966 is a buyer/seller of used Japanese engines maybe he will see this or you could pm him he is around here usually.

I'm in the same boat..need new engine for my Yanmar 1300. anything you find please let me know. Thank you in advance.
