4530 Mahindra
I bought a 4530 Mahindra last year with only 150hrs on it, it looked like new. This spring it died backing out of barn it turned over but wouldn't start, I looked motor over and noticed fuel leaching out of return line, I bled air at injectors but had no luck in getting it started.. so I replaced all fuel lines and drained tank(clean) I bled air from fuel filter then injection pump then injectors but had no luck getting it to fire up. I then had transported to local garage, mechanic got it started after getting large burp of air out of injection pump(his story) I used tractor all this summer and put maybe 50hrs on it, it died again yesterday like you turned a key off! I have tried bleeding air out of fuel system over and over with no luck in getting it started again! this tractor has minimal electronics, no computer and mechanical fuel injectors.. anyone have a clue where to go from here?

What type of fuel shutoff do you have?
If its a solenoid can you see it and what it actuates?

Is the fuel tank above the engine or below,
if below does it have a mechanical lift pump or an electric one?

the shut off is a solenoid and it has power and operates, fuel tank above engine and injection pump puts out fuel, there is no lift pump its gravity feed..

I would remove the solenoid and manually put the fuel shutoff in the run position and try it.
If a diesel has compression and fuel at the right time it will start and run.
If it is a geared transmission you could try towing it to get it started.

thanks for the reply Lou, I actually removed the solenoid and checked its operation, that was my first thought as tractor shuts off with no warning, runs strong with no miss or smoke..I have owned many tractors in my life and have seen nothing like this..Im getting tons of fuel out of injection pump bleeder screw but nothing getting past injectors, not a puff of smoke! I have read that any air in fuel and injectors won't open? what's crazy is this tractor has ran great for last 50hours after last incident.. I haven't tried a pull start but I guess its worth a try. will update weather it starts. Thanks again

Well Lou I got it started, I put a brake line on the bleeder screw hole on injection pump and other end in a cup of diesel fuel and cranked it, got a ton of bubbles 0ut, I cranked until no more bubbles were visible, reinstalled bleeder screw and it started right up. Now how air is getting in the pump is the big question, like said before all fuel lines are new...and no fuel leaks visible...its a mystery, anyone else experience this?

Well I hope she is stil running good for you.
If not and the same thing has happened again.
It could be getting a restriction someplace in the fuel system,
you could try running with the fuel cap loose,
can you see in the fuel tank? any garbage floating around,
if you remove the fuel line at the pump and let it flow into a 5 gallon bucket does it flow at a good rate for the full 5 gallons,
if the flow is slow can you remove the feed from the bottom of the tank ( it may have a screen),
if any thing restricts the fuel flow so that the pump is having to suck to get fuel it and will suck air even places that do not leak under gravity or pressure.
Good Luck

I have a 2014 4530 4wd and the fuel return line started leaking right around 120 hrs. Fuel was literally dripping out of the braid. I don't know if the line itself was cracked or just a bad crimp. Either way it was obviously a defective part but mahindra refused to stand behind their product or give me a warranty replacement because I didn't want to haul the tractor 60 miles to their shop. So I bought the new line and replaced it myself.
