At least a hald dozen times I have gone to start the CK30 only to find a dead battery type no start. I narrowed it down to a bad crimp in the positive battery lug so I went to my local harware store to use a clamp style. That worked for about a month then the same problem. This time it was in the negative lug. On this one I removed the cable because it is only a foot long and recrimped it in the vise. Quite the pain but if you have a similar no start condition don't rule out factory battery lug crimps.

For future reference, for you and others who live near a coast or marine environment, West Marine Stores usually have a lug crimping device in their stores for customer use. You can also buy cable from them, (which is more expensive), but is marine grade and will withstand corrosion better than regular automotive cable. (I apply anit-corrosive lube to the end of the cable prior to crimping and use shrink wrap tubing to seal the cable end to the insulation tubing wrapped on the cable.
They sell the lugs too. :D
