Hopping I made a good trade/deal...
The last 6 years I have been cutting commercially (still new with <30 lots) using a 97 F935 w/72" deck and ~400 hours. I loved this machine... a real beast. It needed hydraulics repair or a leaking axle seal and the yammer has been blowing oil/smoke. I opted to trade it in (along with a LA105 w/ 240 hours) for $1500 credit.

I got a new ztrak F903M w/ MOD and 60" deck for a little under $8K. I hope it was a good deal.

Anyone have experience with the F930M's? Any guidance on enhancing the life is greatly appreciated...

Thanks.

Are you looking to give yourself buyers/traders remorse?

Why did you not ask the question before doing the transaction?

If you are happy, it is a good deal. Don't let buyers remorse ruin an otherwise good deal.

If it works for you, it works for me. Doesn't sound like you are carrying too heavy a load with only 400hrs in 6 years. I'm sure this new machine will serve you well for that long and more. :)

Post pics, we love pics!!!! :)

My point is your cutting lawns commercially. You need a better/newer machine, because of the expense of engine repair and drive system repair. That you don't do big repairs and need something reliable again. If it is a business than you are allowed equipment investment/replacement, check with your tax man. Be happy and enjoy it!

For me, personally, I would have bought the new machine and kept the old one as a backup and to be repaired as time permits. Around here, those 935's still bring good money (I have one). At least twice as much as you got. They can run snow blowers, brooms, plows and I even run a generator off of mine. My hour meter quite at 1700. All I ever replaced are the glow plugs and the engine to tranny coupler and a set of front tires.

Oil could be simple valve seal, axle repair could be done (except leaking oil on a customers lawn or driveway is a no-no). Parts are on ebay. However, the new mowers deliver a nice looking lawn cut (ballpark brooming). Your costs get expensed as write-off. I like fixing things.
