Hey guys- my dealer is about 45 minutes away, and there are some local ag service guys (dealers of non-Mahindra brands) 10 minutes away. For routine service and maintenance, is there any reason to drive way off to my dealer? Thanks.

If you trust the dealers in your area then i would just use them and it puts money back into your area instead of some one elses. Im a dealer for MF and i work and service all makes and models.

We actually got a call from our JD dealer the other day saying that if and when we need service they'll pick up and deliver for free. We're 60-70 miles away!!! But I guess it's been a slow business year for them. :)7

I've got 300 hours on my JD 5325. I've chainged the oil and done regular grease as needed. Dealer wants $650+ for complete service, including deliverey. Seems expensive, but I want to keep this machine forever. What can the dealer do that I can not? Should I do this? I need some support here!

What does the dealer do for this "complete service" ?

Sounds like your already capable of handling your own.

I've asked for an itemized list of this service. In the meantime, I discovered this moring that it won't start. I think it's bad fuel. Rather than drain everything, replace filters and bleed, I think it's best to have the dealer do it. Manual says alot about potential damage to injectors. Hope there isn't a problem there.

Look at the fuel filter bowl. Does the fuel look gelled or "waxed". I always use a diesel conditioner in my tractor as sometimes I don't use the tractor for a month or so. Where do you live? If it is cold this is probably your problem.
