Dealer recomendations

Hello, I will be moving to south central Kentucky and would like dealer recommendations for Kentucky and Tennessee. I'm looking at Deere, CaseIH, Kubota and Massey Fergussion. I need a minimum 60 PTO hp, 4wd and a loader.

what did you decide to go with?
the 1528?
when I was shopping I really liked the feel and turning radius on the MF's - I just found a better deal on a different red tractor.

If I go Massey it will be a 583 new or posssibly a used 3635 or 5435.

Eric,
I went with the subcompact GC 2300. The difference betwen the 2 is about 900 pounds & 5K. The GC will work perfectly for about 90% of what I need. I guess I'll rent a skid loader for the heavy lifting & big projects. MF doesn't currently offer a viable alternative betwen the 2300 & 1528. They have the 1523. But, I had 2 dealers try really hard to talk me out of it. I'd have liked the 1528. But, I'm satisfied with the GC.

However, I sat in a 1533 today with a cab.... Anyone think that's overkill for mowing 3.5 acres?

you're on this forum and you ask a question like THAT?!?

the obvious answer according to Tim "the tool man" Taylor would be: "more power! ah! ah! ah!"

I think you made a good call - especially when figuring in $$.
Of course there will be times when you'll say "if I'd only bought the XXXX" but if this is what you can afford now and you can borrow or rent for the other 10%, then you did right.
