Hi All,
I am wondering what type of after sale dealer support you get when purchasing a Chinese brand tractor? I work for a small dealership and are considering offering a Chinese brand to fill a sales gap. From the posts I have read it seems that tinkering is a necessity when you own a Chinese tractor. My question is, where should dealer support end and customer reponsibility begin? Our organization prides itself in superior customer service and I am concerned that a Chinese brand will drain our Customer Service budget and damage our reputation. Interested in your thoughts and comments.
Thanks!

As a dealer, we offer 2-types of warranty. First is a labor and parts warranty for 1- year or 300 hours, or a 1-year parts only warranty as a discount from selling price. It's about a 50/50 on which one they take. I will say that if a tractor is assemblied right, all the fluids flushed and replaced, clutchs adjusted, that our warranty repairs are minimal. While we do get a leak or two here and there, hydraulic pump faliure, starter, ect. They are the same minor problems that can come from any tractor brand,Since 2001 we have been selling Jinmas they have improved about 300 % in quality. The fit and finish still leaves a little to be desired but they are a great bargain for the money, and we have a hard time keeping them in stock.Parts are not a problem as we have a very large inventory and there are several others you can purchase parts from also.Since these tractors can be ordered in the Crate/self imported with assembly by the end user, sometimes not all of the above was done and you will have more problems that are still mostly minor but that originated from the assembly. Hope this information helps you

As new Jinma Dealer {2005} I offer Parts, Service and Sales.

After researching the Jinma product line and reading the chinese tractor fourms for a year. I choose Jinma.

The key [my opinion] to the tractor being a good tractor is the selling dealer doing a proper service to it... fluids, adjustments etc. as Affordable tractor sales co. wrote.

I am from a service back ground and customer satisfaction is very important to me. My dealer support will never end, I am there for parts, service and technical help if and when needed.

I offer a one year parts and labor warranty to local sales and a labor credit for non local sales.

I have and do help other Jinma owners that did not purchase from me.

It's a tough little tractor for the dollar and easy to work on.

You can contact me through my web site if you want to chat on the phone www.ranchhandsupply.com

Hey JohnDeereChick,

Welcome to the Chinese Section.

It is bound to happen sooner or later, with the volume of Chinese Tractors now being imported and sold here in America.

What Color will the Jinma's be, that you'all are considering selling? I have seen them in Yellow, Blue, Red, Orange and yes "Green". /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Please be so kind as to fill out your profile, if you don't mind.

If you do decide to offer the Jinma Brand, please consider offering the tractors with the Suspension Seats(Optional), Power Steering, and 4WD, as they are very good Selling Features, and much appreciated by the "End" user. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif The other features come standard such as Canopy, Folding ROPS, Wheel Weights, and Front End Weights.

Have a nice day,
Joe /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hi Joe,
Thank you for your response and your comedic relief. We have not fully decided to take on an additional brand. My research so far is pointing toward Jinma or Kama. There is already a Jinma dealer about 100 miles from us so I am not sure that brand would be the answer to our market issues. I have to say that whatever brand we bring in will definitely be a color other than green. That would cause too much confusion with some of our uninformed shoppers. I apologize for not filling out my profile. I will do that very soon.
Thanks!

Hi Tommy,
Thank you for your response. The warranties that you offer, do you build those into the sales price of the tractor? What size margins do get with these tractors considering after sale warranty issues? Do you sell any other brands?
Thanks for your time,
Tiff

Hi Bluechip,

Would you mind sending me some of that dealer info you sent to Tiffany. I am also considering starting a small Jinma dealership here in eastern Canada.

Thanks,
David
