Kubota BX 2660 & BX-23
I got a nice card from Kubota telling me my warranty is up in two weeks and to get an extended warranty on the tractor I could call my dealer. I called this afternoon and asked about the cost and coverage on the extended warranty. I was told in no uncertain terms that I bought a quality product that with care will outlast me and there was no way they could, in good conscience, sell me an overpriced and unnecessary product. When I expressed concern I was told that they would take care of me and to not worry about it. It was offered that if I was a high time user they would look at it differently. i am a first time owner of a tractor (BX2660). I looked at Kioti, Mahindra and Kubota prior to purchasing. I chose the Kubota based on the quality of the brand and the proximity of a long standing dealer, and also the not so subtle support you all gave the brand here. Kioti and Mahindra were 80 &100 miles away respectively. To me, buying the Kubota has been the correct decision. I've probably about driven them crazy with questions but have also bought additional implements and such. I'm in business and this has been good business! I may have paid a bit, but not a lot, more for the Kubota. To me, it has been worth every cent

I took the KTAC program when I bought my tractor so I don't have to worry about anything for 5 yers, well four years now.

I think the low cost of the KTAC program speaks volumes about the reliability of Kubota equipment. When I was still tractor shopping, I asked my dealer about issues with the Kubota brand, I didn't know any better then. He simply pointed at a 4 wheel drive compact utility tractor in his show room, he said "see the front wheel hubs", yes I said, he said, "in about 10 years they may start to leak, it will cost $100 per wheel to replace the seals.

You are correct, when I bought my new MX5100 I was startled by the noise it makes as it is turbocharged and an HST. I had never operated an HST before and I was concerned about all the noise. He showed up that afternoon and assured me after he drove it around that all was fine. My rear work light and loader guide rod did not come in with the tractor and when they did he returned again and installed them. A good dealer is worth his weight in gold. This is my 2nd Kubota and I fully expect it to last the rest of my tractor using life.

I to have a good dealer. (Barlows) In nine years I've had two or three maybe 4 issues and they have taken care of every one of them to my satisfaction. Fixed the problems and at no cost.
I stop by to buy oil and filters from them so rarely that I have to sometimes stop by and buy a "Pop" "Soda" "SoftdrinK" out of their machine just to have an excuse for stopping in.
I didn't know them when I bought my first tractor, a BX220 FEL MMM, nine years ago. Over the years I've come to know and like them, even Gary the Parts man.:) They are nice guys from the owner, service, delivery and as mentioned before, parts.
I have also found them ready, able and willing to sell me a Kubota or take back what they sold/sell me and sell me another one to replace the one they took/take back, 13 times.:)

Sounds like a really good dealer. Mine calls before the warranty expires to see if there are any problems that need to be resolved before expiration; never mentioned extending the warranty.
