Question. I have some woods and trails which slope from left to right at a 10 degree angle. The trails has all kind of leafs on it so I ask my dealer about placing chains on my new 1026R when it comes in, He said NO. Do not not place chains on it His reply was something about the tractor going forward more. I plan to go back and talk some more about it tomorrow. For my safety I really feel chains would be helpful. Your thoughts guys. Thanks in advance.

Sometimes on these little guys they'll say no chains on the front axle as it can generate too much traction for the components. Even lawn tractors can take rear chains though...

Thanks. That was what the dealer said, " it can give you too much traction on the front tires". I'will use them on the back tires to ensure me the ability to use my brakes on ice and mud.
