Kubota 2018 MX5800 RTV-X 1100C
It has been Talked about a lot on this Forum about how to pick the right Tractor.

And the dealer client relation ship is probably one of the most talked about here.

Well I Gotta tell ya.
I had my Kubota MX5800 Tractor picked up yesterday around 2:00 pm by my dealer for its 1st 50 hour and I received it back at my home at 2:30 pm Today.

I can not say enough good things about how my dealer has treated me while the purchase was in process and now that I have worked it. From a leaky fitting then a blown Hydraulic hose to the 1 day return of my 1st service.

My dealer has treated me great.

They have my Business and everyone that I can recommend to them.

The Dealer Client Relationship really needs to be a High consideration when choosing your tractor.

Agreed finding a decent dealer is half the battle when selecting a brand. I just happen to be lucky enough that my dealer (kubota) is across the street from me.

Newby,
Would you be willing to share the cost of 50 hour service. P/U and delivery charges included? Thanks.

1st thing I live in So. Cal. and they probably charge the Highest rates in the Country so Your State may be cheaper.
Pick up and return $80.00
Labor 1.5 hours for @ $95 per Hour Total $142.50
$102.35 for parts, filters and fluids
$5.00 for California Extortion Fluid Disposal fee
$10.26 California sales tax
Grand Total $370.11

I had the dealer do this one because I felt it was the most important service of all of them.
I will more than likely do the next Services my self.

Thanks for the cost data. I was under the impression that the 50 hour service required changing the hydraulic/transmission fluid?

Did they only change the filters only?

Actually, the money you paid seems quite reasonable, in my opinion, especially transportation charge.

Transport charges - - Man, I guess its reasonable. Newby must live right across the street from the dealer.

Fifty hour on my M6040 included changing the hydraulic/transmission fluid & filters. That was the BIG thing on the 50 hour - 16 gallons. Engine oil was only 14 quarts and the front outboard gear cases were mere two or three quarts.

Almost cost me a whole lot of knuckle bumps. At the very last minuet I realized that using plastic five gallon pails was going to be a - NO GO - for changing sixteen gallons of hydraulic fluid.

The only thing around the entire place that would work - - one of the wife's many and large Tupper Ware containers that she kept her quilts in. Worked like a champ - slid right into place - holds twenty gallons. Cost me a trip into the "big city" to the quilting store.

I was under the tractor - all I could see was her legs - she said - - "That isn't one of my Tupper Ware tubs is it?" I knew I was in deep dooo. But she wasn't carrying the shotgun - - so I figured a trip into the big city would correct the situation. It did.

I think it boils down to the quality of the people within the dealerships. Over the last 6 months or so I’ve had many interactions with dealers of all kinds.
1. My 3046R had a major malfunction. Half my fault, half Deere’s fault. The dealer could have easily said it’s on you and I would have had to own that one. Instead, they charged me a small amount for parts and covered 26x that amount on warranty. Forever grateful. They did not have to do that. This is where I bought the tractor and is 1 mile from my home. The purchasing process was mediocre.
2. Stopped in to see a different dealer 1.5 miles the other direction about buying a new front mount mower. “Mower guy” was not in and message was left for him to call. A couple days went by and no call. Called and left “mower guy” a voice mail. That was 2.5 months ago and never a call back.
3. Had the mower quoted from a second dealer. He was very happy to give me a quote right away and on the same day. 154% over MSRP. No joke. Please.
4. Had the mower quoted from a dealer 60 miles away. Right on target price. Quick quote. And would deliver for free. This is who I went with. Sadly, the mfr is way behind and is still on order.
5. Will be getting a new F250 soon. I drive my vehicles for a couple decades so I went shopping to decide exactly what I wanted/needed. Met and worked with a great sales woman. Very low pressure. She ended up quitting b/c the sales manager got pissed b/c she wouldn’t push one of the stock trucks, which she knew I would not buy. I was very clear about my intent and what I wanted. She handed my information to a sales guy 2.5 months ago. Not one call to see if I was ready to deal.
6. 2 Weeks ago I called a different Ford dealer b/c they had the color combination I wanted to see. Worked with the sales manager over text and email after a couple brief phone calls. We got it all worked out within a couple days and he’s waiting on me to pull the trigger.
SO. It all comes down to peoples’ motor and willingness to help. I think they call this service. Commission. No commission. If they’re in it to make quick cash, you’ll be let down. If they’re in it to provide long term “service” for a possible returning customer, you will likely be satisfied. With that said. If a bigger fish comes around (think combine purchase vs. CUT purchase) they’re going to pay attention to the bigger fish. I don’t appreciate that, but I understand it.

Just got back on line. My Computer went down and had to replace it.
As usual I forgot my pass words for a lot of things.

My Dealer treats me with a great deal of respect even thou I do not know much about Tractors yet.
That makes me like them even more.

I am about 5 miles from them and it was not worth me loading it up and taking it to them and then trying to back my trailer into my tight driveway just to turn aroun d and do it again $80 was cheep for me and I had it back the next day. It took them a total of 24 hour to pick it up and bring it back.

Service to me is a big one and I did not even know it until I joined this Forum

Thanks guys for all of the advice here.
